A processing piece for the deep moments, the moments when there seems to be no more breath, nothing more to keep you afloat. I've felt lost in these moments, mentally checked out and numb. Tired. Stuck. These moments come and go though pulling yourself out, depending on how far you have wandered, can feel impossible. I have learned to sit in these moments for a specific time. An hour or two, until my alarm reminds me that my mind is a maze and I cannot allow myself to get lost any longer. To allow myself to feel while knowing there is a limit - An act of protection I have formed for myself. The tide can come in at a moment's notice and I am not the strongest swimmer.
